I have the TXC V2 kit with the fan and air dam and I leave the air dam on all year round...i live in nor cal about 30 miles outside of sacramento and the temps here change dramtically with the seasons...summers are freaking hot (can get 110) and winters are a little cold (consistantly 30s to 40s). When it's 45 or colder my engine operating temp (with V2 and air dam) stays around 181 and only goes higher if i'm pulling or continuously nailing it when start/stopping...if i start to cruise more that a mile, it drops back to 181. it doesn't seem to be a bad thing but i was wondering if I should take the air dam off in the winter so it runs a little warmer.

As long as it stays constant, I would not worry about it. I was up in Wisconsin my truck would not get over 170's without the cold air front. With the cold air front, it would run up to 205 with outside temps in the 50's.

I wouldn't worry about it. My truck with the winter front on in the winter runs around 175-178
