If you read here you will see I may be getting a second GMS purchase. http://dieselplace.com/forum/showpost.php?p=610110&postcount=36
If I do this I am thinking of a 4 Dr. shortbox 4X4 DMax with all the goodies including a DVD for the kids. I am wondering how much of a crap shoot this is from your opinions. It doesn't seem like this model engine and trans has been out long enough to need to be upgraded already in 06. Thanks in advance for your assiatance.
I also find myself wondering if some of the heat complaints can be attributed to lugging on long uphill pulls or if the new trans will even let this happen. I had a 6.2 that I added a turbo to. On a trip to Dallas from California pulling a F**d Ranger I looked at the pyro on one long hill and saw 1300 degrees and s**t. Being new to this setup I was thinking of coolant heat theory and immediatly lifted only to notice the heat drop instantly. I then pulled it out of OD and into 3rd and never had another issue on heat. Anyway, not meaning to insult anyone that is having this issue, i just thought I'd pass on how I learned that lugging diesels creates major heat. What caught me off guard was that my Blazer wasn't losing speed at the time and seemed to be doing fine until I saw the guage.
