The dealer says I have the current accumulator (truck was built 4/04. Below are pictures... Is it the current one or are they pulling my leg? I gave them the TSB number listed here and they couldn't find the number....
The number on the tag is 15200849.

Here are two threads with pictures of the new accumulator:

Yours looks like the new version. Unfortuneately, I do not know what the old version looks like. I believe Max Power still has the old one in his truck, so maybe he can post a picture of the old one.
Are you the original owner of the truck? I've been told that GM did not start using the new accumulator on the assembly line till about 06/01/04. Like yours, my truck was also made during 4/04, and it had the old version.
You might try posting the VIN number in the VIN topic area and see if the accumulator upgrade shows up as a warranty repair. You can also compare yours to what is in an 05 that is for sale at a dealer.
If you are the original owner and have never had the accumulator upgraded, then it should have the old one. However, your picture makes it appear you may have the new one. Confusing! Please let us know what you find out.

I am the only owner (was special ordered, CC/LB/LT/4x4/Duramax isn't a super popular configuration, it seems). This is the first time it's actually been in the shop to have things fixed since I took delivery 4/30/04. I had the ECM updated last Sept/Oct, and had it looked over in December, but nothing fixed.
Is the sticker on the tube the accumulators part #? If so, then it's not the new one as that is not the part # in the TSB
Edit: Based on the second picture posted by JTee in the second linked thread, yes, the number in the tag is the part number for the accumulator, in which case, mine is not the one listed in the TSB, so I think it would be safe to assume that I have the old, less efficient one.
