I have been using a qt of cheap 30w oil in every tank for the past ~6K miles in an attempt to get the last bit of good out of my IP and Injectors (236K on IP throws code 18, 136K on the injectors). All has been sounding better and better as the miles have gone on and my CEL doesn't come on near as often. Now for the question/idea:

I was thinkin that I have nearly 5 gallons of used oil shell rottella conventional 15w40 in the garage maybe there is a way to use it. So my idea is to filter it out(im sure there is dirt in it) and start filling up my old 1qt bottles and running it through the fuel. A secondary reason for this would be to advoid paying recycling fees.

Don't run used motor oil... and only use non-detergent oil in tank.

X-2 on NO used oil through the engine.....

No recycling fees if ya take it to Autozone....... I think MOST that do places (Autozone, Walmart, etc...) HAVE to take it from you for free to prevent people from just dumping it.....

Alright, Thanks for the advise.

Just a question though. What is the difference in a vin S pretty much sucking oil and running it in the gas to begin with? Not that I have a terrible oil usage problem.

Yeah, that makes sense but the guy i spoke to said he thought there was a fee at o reilleys, of course he also might not know what he is talking about.

on a vin s it would be fumes, not straight used motor oil in fuel, it just recycles excess fumes from crankcase into combustion air, fumes would not take any of the dirt with it, you would have to filter pretty good to run it into the fuel.
there is lots of guys that do blend wmo, but its filtered really good.

Quite possible.... I know for a fact that Autozone doesn't charge though...
