: 6 inch procomp lift for pulling
Papuller86 03-08-2010, 11:36 AM i know the 4 inch lift kits work great for pulling but i just had a 4 to 6 inch lift given to me bran new never installed about 3 years old still in the box, long story short, a guy bought it new, he sold it to the guy that sold it to my brother, my brother just bought a new truck with a 6 inch lift already on it, so he gave it to me, anyways it seems like a good kit, i am not going to use the full 6 inches of the lift tho, reading throught the directions if u were to leave the torshion bars down its a four inch lift and if u crank them up its a 6 inch lift, so my idea is to leave it at 4 inches where my front drive line would be flat and inline, do u think this would work
hopfully that makes sence, just a though i would run by some of u guys others seem to think its a good idea and would work, just tring to get a second oppinion or other input on this idea
WisconsinHick1 03-08-2010, 11:59 AM This is what I did. I bought my truck with a procomp 6" lift lowered the torsion bars and bought 2" blocks for the rear end and ditched the 4" blocks. See if the kit came with the center link support mine did so you wont need to worry about the center link. Also did it come with the traction bars?
Papuller86 03-08-2010, 12:04 PM how does it work for u, i arleady have 2.5 inch blocks in the rear i was not going to install the 4 inch blocks but i was thinking of installing the add a leaf tho, no i have a set of traction bars that i made myself, and yes i do think it came with the center link support
WisconsinHick1 03-08-2010, 12:06 PM Works great for me. I pull the torsion bar bolts when Im at pulls to keep everything up front nice and low.

Zebler 03-09-2010, 05:21 PM when pulling your truck, the truck wants to leavel out. I ran 2" blocks in the rear with my 6" lift and it would leavel out.
Here is a video with the 2" blocks in the back. this was a stock pull so i didnt have susp stops in.

Papuller86 03-15-2010, 06:35 PM can u guys still run stock rims on your truck also, i am getting a set of wheels and tires im looking at 17" KMC black diesels with 35 inch tires for street use, but we get some nasty winters around here and would like to put the stock rims back on so the salt dont kill the kmc diesels, and what off sets and back spacing u running on your rims,
