Well thanks for all the responses for my previous post about "should i buy a high milage duramax".

Well, I bought it.
2003 LT(every single option available) Duramax Crew Cab 4x4 Dually 250,000 miles, Spray in bed liner, hideway gooseneck hitch, tow package, factory nerf/running boards, chrome grill/brush guard and a few other goodies.

I paid $16,000

how did I do?

Sounds like a decent truck, the hitch and grille guard are a plus too..

That can't be right. The Dodge guys say the only diesel pickup that will make 250k is the Cummins. :D

As soon as I clean it up good, i will try and post pics before the day is out

I talked to a fellow owner recently that has an 02 with 278,000 miles and still going. He has one set of injectors installed 140,000 miles ago. Truck looked new. He is towing trailers everyday like I am. We both haul for the manufacturers of RV's and stock trailers. I haul for individuals as well including boats and car haulers. I have run 49,000 miles since 10 Feb 05. They just keep on running.

I ended up not getting the truck. as i was leaving it started pooting and missing and bunches of smoke. Maybe i got hold to a bad one
