Hi guys - So I am in desperate need of some input regarding what truck will be best for my needs. I will be hauling a 4 car carrier & want to make sure I purchase a truck that will be able to handle it.

My choices:
Ford F450
Chevy Silverado 3500HD
Dodge Ram 3500

It will be used, probably 2004 - 2008 unless I can get a sick deal on a newer one.

I have been getting mixed reviews on them and thought you fellow truckers would be able to advise me.

I personally would look for a Ford F550 with the 7.3 and the 6 speed manual tranny. It is a great platform and proven engine.

I would go with a Ford 7.3 and 6 speed. However I have seen some sterlings going for real cheap lately. They are pretty much the same as dodges, and have a good cummins/6spd trans I would have to take a hard look at.
