I recently purchased a 01 GMC with the 6.6l duramax and am never going back to gas power(Never could afford a diesel). I was a tractor mechanic in my former life and love the smell of diesel in the morning:ro) When I start that truck and feel the engine running, I know all is right with the world, its awesome. My question reguards the transfer of the factory warranty if any to a second owner. Any guidance is appreciated. Great site by the way.

It has 55k miles and is like new. Whoever owned it before me took real good care of it. All I had to do was drive it and I was sold. Thank you for the warm welcome. I am going out this morning to show it to my buddies and pull my friends boat. I will use the search function and am also doing research on rudolph diesel. FYI rudolph diesel and the history of the engine make interesting reading. Thanks again, time for me to burn a little diesel fuel.:ro)

Nothing to fear on the mileage. I traded my 01 for an 03 and whoever got my 01 got and excellent truck with 60,000 miles. I bought my 03 in Oct 04 with 22,300 miles and now have 71,500 miles on it. 49,000 miles on it since Feb 10, 05. It don't sit still long.
I talked to a fellow DMax owner who has an 02 that has 278,000 miles on it. We both deliver Rv's, boats, car haulers, and stock trailers for individuals and manufacturers. These babies don't get much rest nor do we.
