Just did 8" lift on 05 f*** SD, guy bought 22inch wheels, load rating was 2100 lbs. per wheel, not enough in my opinion, especially in a diesel truck. So check load rating before you buy.

Personally, I'd refuse to do the install. :badidea:
All he has to do now is load it up, break or hurt someone, play stupid and say, 'the place installing it said it was fine', and guess who is suddenly involved in a lawsuit.

I run a 20x10 by weld and it is rated at 3400lbs per wheel and run 37x13.50x20 toyo open country m/t's and they are rated at like 3800lbs.

install was done by guy who rents space from our shop for his accessory business, has his own building out back of shop, guess I should've pointed this out first. I told truck owner wheels aren't even rated for truck's GVW, which is 10K (F250), they sorta ignored me, I told them I'll have nothing to do with that truck as I consider it unsafe

Actually I am looking now all over the forum for a hint of someone who put E-range tires on H2 wheels for their truck and as I am up at the lake I have not been in a position to call tire stores.... Waiting sucks...

Most tire companies have tech specs on there websites that give sizes, diameters, max inflation, max load, and load range. BFGoodrich TA/KO's, Nitto Terra Grapplers, and Toyo Open Country's generally all have "D" or "E" load ratings in 18" and 20" tires. They are also very close to the original equipment load rating at a lower pressure too. As for the rims, you might be able to find some tech specs on the manufacture's website as well. Weld wheels, American Racing, Eagle Alloys, KMC, and Nitto are common on 3/4 and 1 ton trucks. My 18" rims are load rated for like 3000 lbs and the tires are about the same. I looked at a bunch of 20" rims first and was shocked to see that most were around 3100 lbs. Anyway, just research it, that's what I did.
