Hey everyone, bought my truck about 8 months ago and it came with a banks 6 gun. Lately it doesn't seem like it's working. No matter what selector I have it on. Is there any troubleshooting I can do to find out what the problem is?
Thanks!
Mitch

Anymore detail? Codes or anything? Light flashing on the box, if you box is similar to the one I have.

you can go to the banks site and download the flashing light codes for your chip/programmer.

1.) Remove the panel in front of the Banks. You're saying it's the panel under the steering wheel, all you need is one socket (sorry don't remember size). Remove the two screws on the bottom and pop off the trim piece and pivot the panel up towards the steering wheel to remove.

2.) As stated, if your LED light on your box is not full green, then wait for and record the cycle of red & green lights, then compare to their diagnosis sheet.

3.) Even after you have your light sequence recorded, since your in there, make sure all connections are good. Most likely your EGT probe is shot, or your have a short/ break in the lead wire and it doesn't know what the EGT's are. I ran with my EGT probe tied up under the hood and the box would be in Green until I hit around 45 mph. The box is actually looking for a minimal 400* temp to know how much fuel it needs to dump depending on the power level your on. I finally got around to installing it and I love my Banks!

K so I checked out banks website and according to my LEDs, it says somethin with my fpr. I know it is bad. If I get a new fpr, will it start working?

Ok guys I did the tedious job of replacing my fpr. Fired it up, and the lopey idle is gone. Truck idles really smooth. But the only problem is my 6 gun still doesn't seem to work? Does it take time for it to reset?

Thanks guys,
Mitch
