Anyone have a secret method for removing those annoying vinyl dealership stickers? I've tried different kinds of bug & tar remover before, but it never seemed to help much. Always ended up just having to spend two hours scraping it off with my fingernail.

Windex with amonia worked really good for me just spray it on and let it soke on for about 2 min but dont let it dry and just pull it off.
Hair dry or heat gun. If you use a heat gun(faster) be very careful.

I tell dealer to remove sticker or give me truck in exchange for the advertising. Guess what??? They'll take off the stickers, front tags too if they use them.

Thanks guys... I think all the emblems and trim is going to come off this weekend, but that pesky dealer lettering was the one I was worried about.

I have used an adhesive removal product called "Goof-Off" and it works well. You can find it in large home centers- in a yellow can.

I just pulled mine off right away on a hot day. Then rubbed a couple little bits of glue off and it was all done...

For years it has amazed me that you folks back east put up with this. Here in CA the dealers install license plate frames that are easily removed. But to place a sticker on the paint of your $40k truck? Why do you folks put with that? Unless there was a $5k discount for advertising, I'd tell the dealer to get their graffiti off my truck or no sale.

I ended up using a hairdryer and some bug & tar remover. The bug & tar stuff wasn't really up to the task, so I didn't tackle the other emblems.
Nosparks, it's irritating, for sure. This was a used truck, so the dealer I bought it from must have taken off the original dealer's sticker and put their own on... Adding insult to injury with this whole thing, when I got it off, I discovered a MAJOR HACK-JOB on the paint where they apparently removed the old one. Looked like they used a blade of some kind and gouged the paint up. Will have to get it wet sanded at some point, and even then...
