My aux tank is plumbed into the OEM fuel lines on the driver's side frame rail under the rear of the cab. A fuel switch is also installed on the frame rail and connects the OEM and aux tank such that a simple flip of the switch located under the dash determines which one is in use. The aux. tank has its own fuel level sending unit and is connected into the OEM electrical path such that the stock dash fuel gauge reads the level of the tank currently in use.
