Looking for any dealers in the Omaha, NE or surrounding areas that can upgrade my tranny on new 05 Duramax. I want to start playing with some performance tunes but I know myself well enough that 65HP won't be enough... :)

South Central Diesel Tech (on the SW side of Omaha) was supposed to be getting in to ATS Transmissions. They did the first warranty swap for me. It was his first Allison he'd worked on though, and it blew out their tranny jack. Also, my truck and toolbox were broken into there and I lost a LOT of stuff. My own stupidity though. Make sure they park your truck inside!

The place I go to now, if you're willing to drive is Diesel Specialties in Hastings. They deal ATS and a lot of other power adders. They did my second tranny swap and a Banks Bighead Wastegate Actuator. I HIGHLY reccomend them if you're looking to stay in Nebraska.

I'm just glad to see more people from nebraska on here finally! I wish there would be an organized diesel even somewhere in this state sometime for people to meet and see other trucks...

I used to go to truck pulls a few times a year in dodge county IIRC, but that was more than a few years ago.

I live in Glenwood, just outside Omaha on the Iowa side. Let me know what you find out about tranny upgrade shops. I am currently using a Hypertech on stage 3, but I feel my tranny will need an upgrade/replacement in the next 50k miles. There seems to be quite a few of us in Omaha, we should all get together sometime and swap ideas and info.

Goalnightx,
Have you talked to the Diesel Specialties in Hastings yet? I am considering a tranny upgrade myself...I am deciding to either stay local or I have worked with John Kennedy with other things and he has treated me well but he is 9 hours away

Lastly we should get the Nebraska boys together...

I agree about getting the guys together! I've had nothing but good luck with diesel specialties. I HIGHLY reccomend them. They're all I'd go to and they are about 30 min further than omaha for me. They've swapped a complete ATS for me and put in a wastegate acuator with no problems whatsoever. Just my opinion though.

If you are interested in getting together, drop me a note with contact info. I will pool it together and send it out to the group.

From there, we can schedule a get-together.

I would like a ride in a modded truck!

Thanks,

Jay Nemec
