Hi everyone..just got my Edge!!! I Installed the Edge Juice in about 5 minutes and am planning to mount the attitude in the overhead console. Couple questions...first of all the Edge Juice is not the latest version (the latest is 1.2 right?) Can I send it to Edge and get an updated one?? What are the differences/improvments?? I read Hoot's great article on the Dmax pyrometer install so ill be doing that in the next 20 minutes if I can find an 1/8" NPT tap in the shop somewhere...so Im all set with that. One thing I am not sure of however, is how are you guys running the Attitude cable from the Edge box into the cabin? Once its in the cabin, I can figure out how to snake it up thru the A-pillar, along the headliner, etc...but I just dont know how to get the cable from the box in the engine compartment into the cabin. I DO have the 3 foot extension...
Thanks everyone, Im itching to try it out!!!!:ro)

Go thru the rubber boot on the firewall that the steering colume runs thru just slice it open and snake a wire thru tape your wires to the wires and pull. dave p-s where in CT

There is also a flat circle on the drivers side firewall that you can drill and put a boot in it. The cable is long enough to reach the overhead mount without the extension.

you won't need the extension, I purchased one thinking I would need it and I had more than enough room to run the regular wire from the engine bay to the overhead.

Does anyone have pictures of where they drilled thru the firewall? The steering shaft boot is a little hard to reach. Is there an easier place? WHat kind of boot did you use??
thanks everyone

Ben,

I will try to take a picture tomorrow...actually I believe there is one posted in one of the threads. If you stand at the front of the truck on the drivers side and look at the firewall you should see about and inch to inch and a half flat circle that is not covered by the matting on the firewall. This is a very eash spot to get to. There is nothing behind it to worry about drilling into either. Just use a unibit to drill the hole. I just went to the local salvage yard and picked up 5 or 6 rubber grommets for free and used what looked the best. Hard to tell it is not factory. I run the Edge cable, boost line and EGT cable through it. Turned out really well. I'm sure Supatrucka can give you a hand.

Ahh thanks a lot Tim that would be a huge help, I really appreciate it. Right now I just have the Attitude temporarrily running thru the door to a space in the hood. I played around with it tonight...boyyy!!! That thing is incredible!!!! I only really used Level 2...and still smoked 4 ricers and a Jetta who pulled up next to me and started stupidly revving the engines to 6 grand. Well the 'Max pulled hard and certainly showed them whos boss!! Gotta love it...
