Im adding overhead gauges on my truck. Everyone seems to put the electrics down the drivers side A pillar and the sensors on the passenger side. I dont see any place that I can just punch through a grommet without drilling.

Where does everyone run thier sensor lines through?

Thanks!

Tim

well when i did mine, i ran my wires thru the steering shaft boot. if u feel around enough and get a clothes hanger, u can get thru to the inside.

There is a removable grommet behind the fuse box above the brake pedal. You can pop out the grommet in 2 pieces 1 in the interior 1 in the engine compartment. The fuse bax is easy to move out of the way if you need more room.

Will I have enough line to go from the overhead through the drivers firewall then over to the passenger manifold? I'm using autometer gauges

Yes. I installed a Autometer Pyro on my old cummins and ran a 3 pillar pod. (going through the firewall on the drivers side)

Banks/Edge EGT gauges tell you to run it through the place that was mentioned above.

x2 that is the easiest way.

Guess Ill give the drivers side a shot... I just dont want to come out short on the wiring/tubing

When I had the overhead mount I ran my boost and pyro through the passenger side. I drilled a hole put a grommet in and ran all the wires up the passenger A-pillar. If I was going to do it again I would just buy the extra pyro wires and boost tubing (if needed) and run it up the drivers A-pillar.

no way there is enough line to go though the drivers side...and do it nice and neat

I have the gauges above the rearview mirror. Ran boost and pyro down drivers pillar and through firewall above brake. Pyro line went under engine to passenger side manifold.

Autometer gave me about 6 feet of tubing, I barely got it below the dash. I could likely get the egt probe through the divers side and over to the pass header
