How do I remove the front drive shaft boot? Do I just leave it hanging from the transmission? If not do I have to cut the clamp? I guess in that case I would need a new clamp?
Waiting to proceed until I get a reply.

I beleive it , the shaft, pulls out with a little pressure, boot and all.......
I saw mine removed when the shop R&R's my tranny, I beleive the mechanic said it pops out when I asked.
If you break it.............I don't know nothing.........:o: :o: :o:

Max, I don't have a four wheel drive but I'm assuming that it's the same style clamp that is on the two piece dirve shaft boot. I remember someone posting ( greasing the splines) that they were able to get a small screw driver in the band and release the pinch. I believe they were able to put it back together also although that might be tougher.....Bill

The driveshaft and boot pull right out with a little pressure.

A little pressure?!? Do I just pull on the drive shaft? I am scared I am going to tear that boot. Can I pry on it anywhere? Doesn't seen to want to come.

Pull real hard and it will come real easy. Seriously, like a slide hammer, push in and pul hard and it will pop right out. Same thing on reinstall, collapse it til it pops over.
Assuming you have it disengaged from the front diff already...

Eric told me to cut the clamp. I didn't really want to do it so I thought I would try leaving it attached. Believe it or not it came out no problem. Except for a sticky gasket that wouldn't let go.
So the front shaft is still on it. I don't see any need to remove it so I won't bother unless I have to. Nice to keep all those factory clamps.

Leave it attached there is no reason to take it out of the case IMO.The T-case is light

I cut the clamp. Didnt see what it really did but I stuck a zip tie in its place on reinstall.
