i would like to purchase an egt gauge how hard are they to install? Also were is a good place to purchase any recomendations on the which one to buy? i am going to run a hypertech on the lowest stage do i really even need a gauge?

East install just drill tap and thread it in. We have directions as well as all the Auto Meter, & DiPriocl gauges to select from. Get yourself a boost gauge while you 're at it. It lets you know what's up with the turbo and even if your air filter is getting way too dirty etc.

so just to clear my simple mind a pyrometer is a egt gauge? what is a safe egt temp range

a pyrometer is the actual sensor that you tap into the manifold..the EGT gauge gets its reading from this sensor.
