dmaxalliTech 02-27-2010, 09:32 PM Wow, color matched chain !
Check all your fuel fittings/lines/hoses again. Easy to overlook one
Mrduramax 02-27-2010, 10:07 PM hey! eric if the problem is a line should i sea a leak, i cant find any leaks
do you think the cp3 can be damaged from seating for 4 years ?
this engine has 4000 km
Thank's
Eric i sea you like my chaine so send me a set of crower rods and you can have the chaine.:D
Cougar GT-E 02-28-2010, 12:17 AM The leak will be vacuum going IN - you won't see diddlie unless you are using a lift pump.
Mrduramax 02-28-2010, 09:01 AM I have a airdog 165
Mrduramax 02-28-2010, 10:39 AM I am geting a code u1800 lost communication with fuel injector control module
Mrduramax 02-28-2010, 12:24 PM I did un plug the FPR and still no run if I dont pump
Mrduramax 02-28-2010, 01:15 PM FRP reg fuel flow cmd 0 mm3 wen the truck is runing is that not werd:(

Did you unplug the FICM when you swapped motors? If so, check those connectors. The pins may not have good connections.
Check the pins on the two bale connectors on the DS, too. They are known to pull pins out slightly when you mess with them, and that could be causing it. Make sure the retaining brackets/handles/whatever you call them are closed, too.

all 4 plugs are good I just checked thanks bac
keep it comming I am lost here
dmaxboy08 02-28-2010, 03:31 PM sounds like you have 2 issues. if you can pump the hand primer and the truck will run, then sounds like there is a vaccum leak somewhere. i would go back and start with the basics. with the comm. error, that code will USUALLY set due to a poor connection at the module or the module is not getting power the correct way. i would go back and see if you missed a ground that bolts to the block(idk if there is one or not)
superpro56 03-01-2010, 04:28 PM Is there anything you have to change on the 01 BCM to get it to communicate correctly with the 04 ECM? It seems like a connection issue to me, but Im sure stranger things have happened.
I thought injectors were VIN locked or something like that, maybe Im out in left field though. One would think that the 0.0 mm3 commanded would offer some sort of clue to the problem.

the 0.0 mm3 command s ok now
the ECM is from the 2001
can a bad CP3 or a bad FPR cause a no start ??
dmaxalliTech 03-01-2010, 04:52 PM Do you have a scanner or anything that can read rail pressure? What is it while cranking?
Mrduramax 03-01-2010, 05:02 PM Do you have a scanner or anything that can read rail pressure? What is it while cranking?
when it is cranking it gets 203 but calls for 6000 then you push the primer and its all over the place from 3000 to 14000 the more you push the more it gose up
I am replacing the CP3 now but I dont think that is my problem:mad:
dmaxalliTech 03-01-2010, 05:20 PM 203 mpa OR psi?
Needs 1500 PSI or 10 MPA to start. If the lift pump is running, primer should be hard as a rock and hard to push.
tehbald 03-01-2010, 05:51 PM i would say to put some clear lines to and from the filter housing and find if there is a leak at that point just as a start.

203 psi with the key on did not check cranking
the primer is not that hard with pump on and the hand gauge is at 13psi
but I have to pump it to 30 psi with the primer to start it it will not start on the lift pump only (13psi)
so if I pump to 30psi it drops down to 8 psi if I let it sit
so I tried to pump it to 30psi with the primer and pintch the fuel line to the CP3 with pliers(1/2 in from the pump) and it holdes 30 psi (it seams like it is lousing prime in the pump)
Mrduramax 03-01-2010, 06:16 PM :mad:just put a new FPR and same problem:mad:

200 psi at KOEO is normal. Check it while cranking
Its also normal for the primer pressure to drop off after sitting a bit. So far, it all sounds normal. Get cranking fuel pressure for us
Mrduramax 03-18-2010, 09:31 AM the cp3 was the problem new pump all is good thanks guys:)
