I've had the 2505 hooked up now for a few years. I added an ARE topper with a remote lock on the topper. Every time I lock or unlock the doors it triggers the topper but I'd like to make it work only when I hit the trunk release. Is there an easy way to hook it up? Do I need additional modules? Cannot remember how that would have been done and I cannot find my installation booklet.

Use the white wire on the p2 harness. It is programmed as trunk release default. If that doesn't work pm me and I'll walk you through it. I'll be in the airport/plane most of the day tomorrow and travelling most of Monday but I'll do my best to reply asap.

I have forgotten what the P2 harness is. Also, I have two wires coming from the lock, how can I tell which one is the one that goes to the trunk release default. I can tell you which wires under the kick plate the topper place spliced into...? No hurry, thanks much.

No, I did it along with a friend who did alarms years ago. It's been since the end of 06 so I'll need to read up on it again. I do remember the harness now so I'll have a look maybe on Tuesday.
Not sure how to hook up the two wires from the topper lock. Any ideas how to test them and figure out how to hook them up to the astrostart harness?
