The male plug on my block heater cord is pulling away from the cord and leaving bare wire that will shock you. Can this be repaired or buy a new one:confused:

Try Home Depot... I'm almost sure there's one around you neighborhood.... watch how you wire it... neutral and "hot" wires should be appropriately addressed.... best way to do it... check with a decent meter the continuity of the original plug and wire accordingly.... just my two cents worth....:)

Any good local hardware store will have plug ends both male and female.

27.33 at gmpartsdirect.com if you want to replace the whole thing.(fairly inexpensive.)
Mine did the same thing, and i just cut the plug off and put a new male end on it. work fine.
