Can someone tell me how much power you can add to the engine before your allison gives out...what are some upgrades you have done to your truck without getting a suncoast or what ever that would be great. Im looking at lift pump and efi...dont know where that fine line is on the allison

Most say the 90 hp range is good to go. EFI is more than enough to blow up a trany all by itself. I would get EFI and call it a day.

The best thing you can do is either save the money and set it aside for the trans, or upgrade it before you touch the engine.
