OK... I have recieved most of my stereo equipment. I have a 4 channel Profile amp and a mono Profile amp for two 10" Rockford Fosgate subs. So far, I have the two front speakers installed (once you learn the door panel secrets, it is pretty easy). Installing the rear speakers should be easy too. However, I am not sure how to get to the back of the radio to install the PAC converter. Any tips or pics would be appreciated.

you have to take the dash bezel off, then take the a/c heat controll pannel out (two screws) then remove the three screws for the radio. The reason you have to remove the a/c heat controler is that GM. tucks the wire harness behind it, and you don't want to try to pull it out and damage the wires. the a-oemgm24 plugs into the factory harness and back into the factory radio, with a seperate remote power wire that needs to be conected to a ignition source to power your amps. there are two sets of RCA outs, front, rear ,each with a seperate gain. If your not using the factory head unit you will need a different pac unit.

Thanks CAP,
I have the non-bose stereo. I am using the factory head unit, but I will not be using any stock speakers. I have new amps wired seperately to all the speakers. With that in mind, do I even need to plug the factory wiring harness into the PAC or just leave it unplugged and plug the PAC into the head unit? I only need PAC for RCA plugs and blue wire.

the pac unit is a jumper unit with a male and female plugs that go into the radio harness and back into the radio, the rca's are in between the plugs . just use your factory speaker wires and yes you have to plug it all together or your radio will not feed the signals out
are you bridging the amps or splitting 2X left and right channels ?
Becareful pulling the heater control out. I broke one of the lights in mine. The whole panel needs to be replaced. Luckily it was still under warranty.
