I was going to go with the 2" extended shocks, but John at DPS (a great guy to talk to by the way) brought up the dual shock option form RCD would be a good option if I was going to put in green keys and crank the bars up a little more.

Is the ride stifer with the dual shocks?

Anyone go this route?

Thanks

In my opinion dual shocks on IFS trucks are a waste of money and can actually be bad for the truck if they are connected to the upper A-arm. The ball joints and upper a-arms were never designed to carry the load and tranfer the energy that the shocks are designed to dampen. Even if the dual shocks are valved softer for a dual application they still do not help and most likely will ride worse. Most of the dual shock kits like Fabtech, RCD, Procomp for the IFS trucks are only for SHOW. Look at all the trophy trucks and race buggies, ever notice how they always have the shocks connected to the lower arms? There are other benefits but the idea is still the same. Spend you're money on a good single shock.

With that being said if you want to spend the $$$$ you can build a dual shock setup that will work...like a coilover and a bypass shock but this is only benefitial on hardcore offroad vehicles.

Just my $.02,

Chris

He is right they would really only help if you had 44's on a IFS truck something that no single shock could handle. Otherwise there a waste especially on a non-lifted truck.
