I just replaced my heads and everything seemed to go together well. Buuuut, as i was filling the radiator i heard water leaking and as close as i can tell it is coming from the passenger side from between the engine and trans. The plug in the rear of the head near the exhaust manifold is in and not leaking, the head appears to be seated and dry. the rear block off plate is also dry.... is there something else i am missing or forgot to put on..?:help::help::help:

If you have over flow going into the valley between the heads there's a hole in the back of the engine casting to the right of the oil pump drive plate a few inches so fluid won't build up in the valley, also some small (1/4"?) frost plugs in the side of the head above each cylinder IIRC, 1 of them may also be leaking. Heater hoses? Bleeder on water x-over leaking into valley?

As CR said, check the valley carefully, best bet would be leaking water cross over. Let us know what you find.

Nothing in the valley, dry as a bone. I will be checking more....
ok, CR and DC you were correct. when i said dry as a bone, i was going off what i saw last night @11....Upon reinspection and your advice of i bet its coming down the valley from the crossover....it was, the bolts that came with the crossover were to long and bottemed out just shy of snugging down the gasket. when i looked in the daylight and right at it ...Doh!!!! so all's well, now to go out and fire it up....lol
PS Thank you....:)
