Anyone out there have and idea on how to best remove the tailgate badges along with the 2500HD badges? I already got the cheap sticker off the rear quater panels and want to get the other stuff off as well. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Matt

I've heard that the detail guys use a hair dryer to loosen them up for easy removal. I've also heard them complain the longer they remain on the truck..... Good luck!

I was also told a good hair dryer on hi for a few minutes will soften up the glue enough to safely peel them off. I was also told DO NOT USE A HEAT GUN FOR REMOVING PAINT. IT WILL DAMAGE THE PAINT.

i just take a flat blade screwdriver with a rag on the end to protect the paint, get behind the badge and shimmy it off.

Heat it up; fishing line to "cut" it off the truck; more heat, more cut until its off, then a little more heat and some cleaner to wipe off the glue residue.

Dental Floss also works very well. I was able to "cut" in behind the badges for about an inch or so and then with a little heat the just pulled right off.

I just took mine off also and did it with a hair dryer and once I got it started just peeled them off very slowly and this took most of the glue with the badges .

Try goo gone. NOT Goof Off... Let it soak in for a few minutes ad then pry it off. It will be a bit more work if they have been on there for a while. Also remember not to rub too hard, you will scratch the paint.

Just bring that truck out here to West Texas and leave it outside for about 3 hours and you can pull any sticker or badges off you want!

Seriously, I used the ol' ladys hairdryer then just pulled them off with no problem. Then used a citrus based cleaner to remove the little bit of glue resin.

Good Idea "Got Boost".....too bad it doesnt get that warm here in Seattle!

I ended up using the fishing line and it worked great. I removed all badges side and rear of the truck and ended up puttin the "Duramax Diesel" badge on each side of the hood. It reminds me of the cars from the sixties that had hood badges and looks really cool! I will try to post pics later, thanks to all who responded! Matt:ro)

I ordered my truck in Jan
got it in 3 weeks
they built it less than 15 miles from my house
from build to my driveway was 5 days
popped them off with so little effort it was funny, I hadnt had the truck for an hour and they were all gone, 4x4,duramax,2500HD,silverado,chevrolet,LS

After you get the badge off, use one of these to get off the adhesive foam http://autobodysupplies.safeshopper.com/24/141.htm?346 Put this on your makita drill and you are done in minuets. I de-badged my Dmax in 15 minutes, goo and all!:cool2:
