well there is alot of threads on it and i tried the search button but there is to much BS to sift through to get any info,
so if you guys have and tips, or ideas post them here,
if you've done them then explain any problems you've ran into,
also if any one knows all the tq #'s for all the bolts that would help me out alot! thanks

ok these suck azz to work on haha, who ever worked on it before me was an idiot, i've got so many bolts that are rounded out on the valve covers i cant get the very back one on the lower cover on the pass side, and i cant get the very back one on the upper on the driver side b/c they are so rounded out! it sucks!

What was the end result? Knee deep in doing this myself and it is a PITA.

I just did an injector on my LB7.
Sounds like someone got to you injectors before you. The rounded out valve cover hardware is likely from a ball end allan bit -- I rounded a few yesterday, but reinstalled good ones in the back where I rounded them so I can get them off next time.
I did not touch the head on my LB&, so here are the torque specs for everything I could find above the head.
Note: difference between Ftlbs and Inlbs (foot pounds vs. inch pounds)
Injector clamp 37 Ftlbs
Banjo fuel return on injector 106 inlbs
Fuel return 12mm bolt 132 inlbs
Wire harness bracket 10mm 80 inlbs
Wire nuts to injector 18 inlbs
Bottom valve cover 89 inlbs
Top valve cover 71 inlbs
Fuel line connectors 30 Ftlbs
You will have to look up the pattern for torqing the bottm and top valve cover, I found it once but cant find it again.
Good luck!

i didnt end up doin my head gaskets, only b/c i pulled 5 cups out, so i assumed that was my problem. not sure if it was or not its hard tellin,
i would have changed them but i couldnt get the damn turbo bolts out, so i gave up and didnt do them, ill pri do them once i get a turbo, cause ill do head studs as well, but untill i blow coolant out the side of my block, im gonna keep runnin haha

also you dont need to wast time torqueing the upper and lower valve covers, or doin them in the order,

With my luck not following torque and order would have resulted in a craked valve cover, so I was extra carefull in following all instructions.
I heard that cleaning the head to get the cups to seat and seal correctly was a pain in the backside and time consuming -- or so the dealers lead you on to believe.
I was lucky to isolate the failed injector and replace it without the cup coming out with it. Injectors 2, 4, and 6 on the same bank were contaminated with dirt from the fuel connector. Modified my shop vac and sucked the dirt out. So far so good with no fuel in my oil and no smoke during my 150 mile test run, the power is back and it hauls the mail once again.
