What is the highest setting I can run the predator on with a stock exhaust and not have to worry about egt? I wont be towing anything. Thanks

My experience is all the Predator programs run HOT. Not much difference in egt between the 40 and the 85. All depends on how you drive it. If you want to run hard upto the speed limit, or little more you should be okay. If you want to run balls to the walls for more than 30-40 seconds you'd better stay on the 65hp tune. Especially with the stock tranny. (I need an upgraded tranny also.) The 85 and 100 hp tunes have been known to kill the stock tranny. I haven't killed mine yet, but it's living on borrowed time.

I'm really ready to try some new programming simply because the Predator runs too hot in any tune, especially towing. I like the Predator and think it's a good buy, but the tunes are just EGT monsters.

How hot will my egts be if I run the 65hp tune up to 85mph with stock exhaust?

Cummin'_Stroke_this_Dmax & Coyote kid,

Predator has some new tunes that might be considerably different than what you have now. I'll keep you posted as to when they are available.

I run the predator at 65hp. The highest I have seen EGT is 1300 75mph going up hill. I have a Magnaflow exhaust though. I did not see a significant drop in EGT with the new muffler system.

It has been posted on another thread that Diablo is going to have an update to the Predator to help lower the EGT's.
