Which is a higher quality shock? For ride and life?

don't know but just put on bilstiens at 13K miles. Stock shocks were working fine, but the bilstiens made a noticeable improvement in ride. Small bumps are much less noticeable, more controlled over rough roads.

I too would like the difference in brands. I put in new Ranchos last year and noticed a big difference but that does not tell me anything due to the year of my truck. If the Bilstiens are a better ride with better performance, I may consider changing them in the future. Especially since Rancho gave me a lifetime warranty.

A search of the forums didn't turn up any info for you guys? I could swear blue/yellow vs. red/white has been covered at least 1,000 times in recent history....

lol, lifetime warranty???????? So when they wear out I get new ones for free? If bilstien doesnt do that then im defenitelly getting the Ranchos even if the Bilstiens are better

the bilstiens are the higher quallity by far
I had a guy explain to me why the Bilstiens are better and the Ranchos are the same as most Car Quest or AutoZone brand shocks but I forgot what he said:(

i doubt that with the 9000's, but some of the others Ive heard It could be true. The Bilstiens are ugly colors though lol, with the superriour ride i can live with it

I was under the impression that the Ranchos had the lifetime as well but when I bought them I knew nothing about the Bilstiens. If they are better, I would be willing to change them out down the road. I do want the best ride I can get and have not really had a problem with the Ranchos. My buddy's got a new dodge he think runs comfortable but my 93 seems to be smoother and ride better over bumps and such.
