Just wondering if this setup would get me around 550hp and around 1100tq, with suncoast 4 tranny, airdog 150, aem brute force intake, modded cp3, and fleece or danville tuning. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Anybody no if this is even possible.

Sounds like you already had the work done?

If not we'll put a tune in your truck that should put down close to 520-530. That is if you're pump will hold the pressure. We'll mod your LB7 charger a bit for more flow and it should gain 15 to 20hp over your last dyno.

Give us a call at the shop to discuss the tranny options. 765.676.5063

Thanks,

Brayden

i don't think i've read about 550 whp from the mods in your sig. Brayden sounds confident!

downpipe + IC might help?

Normally it will take an aftermarket charger to get there but with some tweaks the stocker can get to the 530 range. Uppipes would help, as would a BD manifold.

I have an 03 LB7 runnin around with my tuning, a ported mouthpiece, fass lift pump, LBZ regulator, intake and exhaust that puts down about 525-530 HP and around 999 TQ. Thats about tapped out without some more stuff, IE injectors...problem you run into is that the fuel required to make over 500 HP draws the pulse-width out so long that you run into timing issues and high EGT. With bigger injector nozzles you can efectively get more fuel injected in a shorter timeframe thereby increasing output without crazy injection timing.

550 is taking the air delivery of the stock turbocharger to well beyond it's maximum.

500 is even pushing it (as far as efficiencies go)

But it is doable.

I've seen some tweaked IHI LB7's do it.

guys check out the copetition section on here...idk if u have but some guy dynoed 589 i believe on EFI, liftpump, trans, and other basic mods...it can be done with stock charger...i dnt kno for how long tho lol

Yes, but he also knows as well as any of us that his engine is not gonna live long at those levels. He also keeps his water/meth kit thats installed on the down low...

buddy of mine has a 05 lly with a ppe lift pump, sunocast trans , afe intake , and ridge runner diesel moonshine efi live , 514 whp 1108tq

not all dynos are made or tested equal. anything over 450 rwhp is superb

curious why 550 is your goal. trans, efi, and lift pump will do 500rwhp easy and thats good for 12 second passes. 550 is kinda a stepping stone to 600+ to get much faster

I just didnt know if 550 would be able to be done with just efi, lift pump, and tranny, along with all other basic mods.

yes very doable. as said above there is at least one reported dmax on this site running trans, tune, lift pump and apparently water/meth and is at 580rwhp+. 500+rwhp is pretty average for a dmax running efi, lift pump and trans given you are getting the air and fuel you need. of course a stock motor wont like those 550+ power levels for long.

Nope...stock LB7/LLY rods wont last long at 550rw+ with stock injectors. I found that out. Tuning is critical, and as Mike stated...larger injectors would allow less pulse/timing which would bring cyl pressure down.

Larger injectors don't nessesarily bring cylinder pressure down, as much as keep it in a crank angle degree area where its less likely to cause damage. You want the peak pressure to occure somewhere past about 10-12 degrees of crank angle, and when your pulse width is so long that you have to start the injection early enough that the peak occures before top center, you will have issues. Larer nozzles alow you to get the same fuel in a narrower window, and achieve the cylinder pressures required for the same power in a much safer zone of crank travel.

Ok. I like your explanation better, too. :D
