In 4 wheel drive should both front wheels pull? I was pulling a stuck vehicle in a wet yard and could not budge it. Only the front right and left rear tires would spin. A 1996 Chevy 4 x 4 stock pulled out the vehicle with no spinning at all and on bald tires. I jacked up all wheels and only 1 front would turn. I could stop the right by hand and make the left pull.

The front diff on these trucks is not a locking differential. The tire with less resistance will spin before the one with more resistance.

On the rear diff, only trucks equipped with the G80 option have the locking differential. It sounds like you don't have G80, but take a look in your glove box at all of the 3 digit RPO codes.

G80 is in the RPO list.

Then you do have locking rear differential. The right rear (passenger side rear) tire will spin a little before the G80 kicks in, then both should spin. If not, you may have some problems with it.
