The 1st one is the air temperature intake for the Climate control. There is a little fan in there.
The 2nd one is the Mic for the on-star.

The grille over you head at the doorway is an air intake for the temperature sensor for the climate control system. I have had to fiddle with it on my wife's truck (it was making noise)
The black bulge on the drivers side of the overhead console is the onstar microphone.
