I searched with no luck on my question. This may be a dumb question but when I have a scanner hooked up I look at my EGR Command %, is 0% closed or open. Have a friend with a bad EGR and His EGR command never leaves 0%.

When I have scanner hooked to truck and looking at PID called EGR Command %. Does this tell me if the EGR valve is opened or closed. If it is an indicator of open or closed does 0% mean it is closed or open.

Closed. They don't open much.

I was looking at the value and it dont get very high, I have a friend that has his stuck on zero which is good but not as good as blocker plate.
