No, sorry that is per shock. Bilstein changed them to nickel plated and raised the price. Nothing I can do about that.

So I asked a buddy that works at a parts place about what brands of shocks he could get, and I gave him the bilstein part numbers that noreaster posted on here. He called bilstein and the guy at bilstein said that they don't make a longer shock for the 2500hd, except for 6 inch lifts. That number fits a dodge. So are these shocks you have made for the dodge but happen to fit the GM?

The Bilstein shocks were NOT made for GM applications but from all indications they seem to work perfectly! The valving is different from the shocks Bilstein advertises as OEM replacement but again the valving seems to work well with cranked torsion bars or green keys.

Installed the Bilstein 5100 PN BE5-6140-T5 front shocks yesterday. Already had the green keys installed for quite a while. Installation went pretty smooth...the lower shock mount bolted right up no problemo. The upper shock mount took some time to figure out (had to play with the bushings to figure out the best combination). Truck feels a little firmer but mostly the compression and rebound feel more controlled which is exactly what I was hoping for. Any questions let me know. I also took some pictures for anyone interested.

3500dmax, did you happen to note what the extended and collapsed length of your new Bilsteins? If so, can you let me know along with photos of your truck and tire size with your new shocks. Thanks.

3500dmax-So what size tires are you running, and how much up over stock are you? What's your fender measure?

I added the green keys and it's just under 2". Front fenders measure 40" and rear fenders 40.5". I've considered lifting the rear to add a little more rake but I don't want any axle wrap which is common when adding blocks.

Bilstein 5100 BE5-6140-T5 up front:
11.77" collasped
18.42" extended

Bilstein 5150 BF5-A196-H1 in the rear:
15.89" collasped
25.91" extended

I'm running 285s on factory 2500HD wheels, didn't care for the painted steel wheels that came on my 3500SRW. Here are a couple pictures.

3500Dmax, Your truck's stance looks perfect. Thanks for providing the info. I've got the same size tires on stock wheels and wanted to know how is the ride is (unloaded) on some of washboard freeways such as the 710 or 10.

Long bed truck on concrete freeways :driver: = uhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuh. They best way to get a better ride on those freeways is a couple hundred pounds in the bed otherwise theres not much you can do. There are a couple large bumps on my way to and from work that I hit @ 65mph and the front end behaves much better with the new shocks.

You could always get the 5100 shocks for the rear with the 2" block

Are the shock part numbers PN BE5-6140-H5 or PN BE5-6140-T5...I looked up the H5 part number and it does not exsist. When I look up the T5 it comes up......Which one is it? Looking for the 5100 series +2 for the front........

I also ran into some confusion w/ the PN when I originally found it and asked John to order them. The correct PN ends in T5.

A little off the topic, but how safe is it running the 285's on the OE wheel (16X6.5), when BFG recommends no less than an 8" wheel?

It'd save me a few hundred, besides I like to keep it as simple as possible and stay with my OE wheels.
