If so, is it better, worse, or the same? I've heard all kind of opinions (keep paper, oiled, cotton, oiled foam). Dont see any reason to use a drop in unless you like the idea of a washable filter for money savings Mark Craig 06-23-2005, 10:23 AM Cougar281, It's a 4 layer gauze, it will let a lot of dirt into your engine. Go with the AFE Pro Guard 7, it's was tested on this site to filter within 1/2 of 1% as well as the stock filter. I agree I did the same thing and It did absolutely nothing for my truck, so I kept the stock filter. It did help a bit with my quad, but not dirt bike, so I guess it just depends on the vehicle (like Im an air flow tech,,not!) | ||
