When you put in a programmer into the Duramax does the computer keep record of the installation ie: I was going to purchase the Bully Dog rapid Power Module.
Could the dealer tell if you vehcile had this poower module in it at a previous time?

According to the tech and the literature Thwe Rapid Power module, offers shift on the fly 3 settings stock, 40 hp and 103 hp. I usually tow a 10000 to 12000 lb trailer and was told the 40 hp setting is most appropiate for that application. The 100 hp setting is for towing less than 7000 lbs.

This programmer has software, the trans smart to protect the trans from excessive slipping.
Does anyone have any info on this Prgrammer, similiar to the Power Pup but has the transmission module and has in the cab adjustments.

Since the programmer reflashes everything back to the way it was when you remove it, I highly doubt that any dealer could detect it. There is probably something in the code somewhere (a checksum perhaps) that a high level GM super nerd could point out, but I doubt any service level tech has this kind of understanding of the computer.

From what I have been told is that the Edge Juice/Aattitude, Bully Dog and the Diablo Predator dont leave any traces on the trucks comp. And that many of the others did, although some opinions may differ. I went with the Bully Dog and I couldnt be happier!
