Mine has 1450 miles on it and has never done anything like that.

Is it happening during a shift? Maybe it is turbo bark, though mine has never done this either. Does it happen often enough for you to give a tech a ride and hear it?

prolly turbo bark which is not good. You need to take a tech for a ride.

I agree. I'd get a GM tech in the truck as I surely wouldn't know what to do, or what is causing it:exactly: .

Mine started doing the same thing however only when it's cold. Once warmed up it goes away. I am taking mine in next week. I have about 1500 miles

 whats a turbo actuator ? took it to deeler to get tech to ride and it seemed he knew less about the truckthan i did he described the pop or bark as "skipping" dont know how helpful the dealership is actually going to be seems as though they never know whats wrong unless cel is on and telling them point blank what the problem is i will drop it off next week for them to guess at it

I seen a couple with this complaint, very intermitant.just read a PI stating do not attempt any repairs at this time.this problem is under investigation.I will post when I learn of a fix, guessing PCM reflash.

My o5 has the same problem, vary intermittent. Used to always happen around 3-4 shift while wide open with or with out program running (edge.) Also seemed to happen often after deccel. and back on hard throttle. I have explained to dealer techs they have no clue and still not able to recreate. This problem seemed to happen all the time until 15,000 miles and now at 24,000 seems to have dissapeared. Don't seem to get on the throttle hard as much.

according to my mechanic the actuator controls the turbo's fin pitch which in turn controls the amount of boost. If it sticks it can make 2 much boost and it bleeds back through the intake.

They replaced my actuater and it fixed mine. Said there was some metal shavings it it from assembly.
