I've got a 2003 CCSB Chevy. A bunch of buddies and I went cruising in the snow and I got stuck. While we were getting out I noticed that when the turbo spooled up it sounded like excessive air was coming out from somewhere. It wasn't a high pitch whistle it just sounded like straight air escaping from somewhere. I've got a K and N intake and exhaust other than that it's bone stock. Any ideas? Thanks

you might have a hole in one of the intercooler pipes

correct. that is where i would start looking. make sure all your lines are still hooked up and there are no holes in the lines.

Look at the lower hose on the drivers side. They are notorious for rubbing a hole through where it rubs on the power steering line.

I've got the same issue right now...I am trying to decide if it's a leak or I'm hearing the waste gate opening or something. I say that because with a boost leak it seems like I would be getting more smoke than normal because of a loss of air..but just the opposite I can clean up some pretty good tunes. I only hear it under high boost and I haven't lost any pressure......gonna check CAC lines...maybe it's a small leak

I got it figured out. After taking off the driver side intercooler hose i found no holes in it. I did the intake horn mod a while back and i thought maybe a bolt came loose or the gasket wasn't in properly. While looking I notice a little plug that came off near the turbo. Plugged it back in and runs like a champ. :)
