Thinking about an older Burb and will be in PHX next week and want to take a look at this

I've heard the Banks really wakes them up.

Where should I start pricing wise?

i would say offer $4000 and go from there..... it looks like its still in fine condition, he's probably asking $5000-$5500, good luck to you....

My big question is concerning the Banks. What are the signs of a proper install? What should be a red flag?

Also, does anyone have any recommended diesel shops in PHX for a good pre-buy inspection if everything goes smoothly?

LOL good luck finding a shop that works on 6.2's, they will probrably start looking for the computer or something.

turboing is pretty simple on these, not much to mess up, they simply just work (if not leaking or something)

exhaust leaks, boost leaks, oil leaks can all be easily fixed on the turbo setup.

other oil leaks like rear main and all the fittings could just be a sign of a failed cdr, no necessarliy meaning the engine is shot and has all kinds of blowby but at 200k dont expect no blowby

that burb has also had the 88- newer front face put on it. as for the banks, nothing much to go wrong other tahn oil leaking into the intake or exhaust sides from blown seals but that doesnt happen often if all is working properly.
