I just had a Viper 791xv installed about 3 weeks ago and something started bugging me with it. When I lock the truck, I don’t get a consistent chirp. I’ll get a honk, a chirp, or both at the same time. It never makes the same noise twice in a row. Is that normal? Also, when I remote start the vehicle at night, the headlights flash, and it bugs the crap out of me. I park with my headlights facing the pool area at my apartment complex, and there are people out there almost every night. They flash on and of until I make it to the vehicle and turn the key on. Is there any way to change that? The manual wasn’t much help.


Other than those minor annoyances, the alarm is great.

Do you have the DIC? If so use your steering wheel controls to shut off lock and unlock confirmation. That should straighten it out for you.

Any ideas how to fix the headlamp flashing problem?

I don't know why they would be flashing. Doesn't really make sense. Must be something hooked up wrong.
