Hey guys, I just got my Banks Six Gun last night and installed it this morning.:cool2:
I went through the manual and performed all the troubleshooting applied there. For those of you that have installed this, were there any problems you noted? I have the "Steady Green Light" that indicated everything is working, so why when I crank it all the way to six (an extra 105hp) does it seem to do nothing more than what it does on setting one??? Censored I was hoping for some help as the Tech Service dept isn't open yet at Banks.

Also, everything I read on that Speed Loader mentions for "Short Duration Use Only" What the heck does that mean??? Can I still hook it up for everyday driving, or am I supposed to use it only when I take the truck off-road??? :help2:

Hey I wanted to post that things are working now. I checked all my wiring harnesses, then disconnected the module, and re-connected it. Went through the installation steps one by one, and then......it worked.

Also, the tech at Banks told me that the Speed Loader says "Short Duration Use Only" if you use it on the max settings for a length of time. It is fine for daily driving in levels 2 thru 4.

Maybe I was expecting to much in the low end on this thing. It seems to really kick in around 40mph. I thought I have read some posts that other modules are similar in that respect. Anyway....

The banks speedloader on level 5 and up cranks up the fuel rail pressure to full factory rating, thus if you run it for long periods you risk loosing fuel pressure seals. This is why the short duration use only label.

On the GM trucks, the 6-Gun with Speedloader only raises rail pressure on level 6. The Dodge trucks may be different, however.

Nice to know, however I find it very sufficient to run it on 2 or 3. I ran it on the highway the other day for about 10 minutes on 6, it was cool to coast down to 50 then give just enough to kinda lug it with the converter locked.....nice puff of black smoke. :ro) I don't think the semi behind me minded much, I saw him puff a big one too after I did!! ):h

Thanks for the update, I will try to leave in on the lower settings more often.
