Got a HiFonics Titan 6408 4 channel amplifier powering Diamond Audio's.

Well as soon as I turn the stereo on it shorts out and cuts all power to the speakers. I'm no audio genius...what gives?

Try disconnecting the speaker leads from the amp and see if it still goes into protection. I've see shorted out/grounded speakers or speaker wires do funky stuff.

I should have also said to double check your power and ground connections.

Power and ground are good, I tested at 12-14volts today. I'll look under the seat and re-check the gain.

What do you mean by that...like my amp is too big for my speakers?

Speakers are 100rms, amp is 170 rms at 4ohms. I've had DA's before and they can take the power, maybe these can't.

Thanks for the help boys...finally got her up and running. Had to replace the remote wire...a mouse or something chewed about 95% through it. Also re-checked speaker wire and rca's...have one set switched. But she's sounds good.
