Where is the factory temperature sensor located? Im curious b/c I have noticed that if I am sitting idling, the temperature displayed on the mirror starts climbing, and then once I drive it will drop quickly. Wondering if its possible to relocate or shield from whatever heat source (radiator maybe?) that its near. Anyone else ever notice this?

Click on tech tips, then Duramax, then look for the Air temp sensor relocation tip.

It is attached to the trans oil cooler-- that is why it goes up when stopped. :)
