To all supporting vendors and anyone else that can direct me,

I am looking for a TC for my 93 C3500 4x2 4l80e auto tranny. I have the symtoms of mine going bad and would like to find one better than the single stage OEM, but not the $1000.00 triple lock mentioned in a different thread. I have found a triple lock TC for $599.00 on the internet but would like to go a bit less expensive due to budget restraints. I would any and all info on this and would like to support the vendors here but need to watch the budget while keeping my truck running.
I also found one from a manufacturer at a local store(special order) from a vendor I do not believe is mentioned here so I won't mention it but My price would be $392.88 minus 10% plus tax. The list for this is $459.99. It has an optional lock-up or non-lock up function. I still have to do the research on the TC from them and do not know if it is what I want but it sounds good.
Please let me know soon so I can get my stuff together and get what I need before the truck goes down.
Thank you,
Mark

Anybody..... I was told to come here from the moderator for the high traffic and got frozen from the thread that had replies to my same request.... Please help so I can work with the supporting vendors and not the local stores, but I need to act quickly.
Thanks,
Mark

I think you should go buy your cheapy converter somewhere else. There is no one here interested in your business. You want quality, you want it yesterday, and you seem to want it free. Oh, forgot, you want a lifetime warranty with it. Good luck.

Mike,

That is not what I asked for, nor did I imply it. I just need to try to find a good product at a good price and not necessarily a cheapy converter.
Cheapy converters don't last and I know this, due to what came in my truck.
I'm sorry that I have to shop around to find the best deal for the best products since I take care of a family and don't make $100,000 a year screwing people like you do.
If this is what you call customer service, then you'll never see a dime of my money and you can be sure your name will be passed out.
Don't ever judge someone, based on their shopping methods cause is may bite you in the tail in the long run.-:t

I don't think you will find one for the price range you have set. You need to be realistic in your goal, tripple loc design and low price and quality.

I agree with Joey, won't find one in that price range. I've tried. For a 6.5 a good single disk convertor will be sufficient usualy. Don't mind Mike, he's just overly sensitive to to the price impaired...

Thanks guys.
I can't see spending $1000.00+ for a 93 anyway. There is only so much performance you can get out of it anyway. Ever heard of a B&M 2400 holeshot. Supposed to have lock-up and non-lock up on demand and I can get it for about $390.00+/+. Don't know how many discs in lock up or what ever about it. I'm just trying to find something better than the OEM which I can get for $170.00.
I don't know enough about triple locks and so forth just trying to get ideas, not trying to ruffle feathers. And yes, trying to get the best bang for the buck while dealing with guys here instead of venturing elsewhere.
Thanks again Joey and DD

I paid $200 for another stock TC and was dissappointed it didn't pull any better than the one I had just burnt up, but I have no experience with the others to say if they're better and why.

Mike L, this forum is to help people not slam them, that's not good for business no matter who or where you are.

Quantum,
I could have bought an OEM/stock for $170.00 but did not want to go that route. I do want to try to get something better out what we can with the set-up we have. I spoke with Eric and for some reason he thought I had an Allison, but said the holeshot 2400 should be good for me. I just want to understand more of what to expect and what I'm getting. For some reason B&M is never in their office to call(with no VM), must be a California thing when the weather is nice(but that's most of the time:joke: )

By the way, thanks for everything:) .
Mark
