I bought the GMC TopKick 4500 on may 15th its a crewcab with a sick air ride supention, put a box on it and started haulin ass by the 24th of may. I now have 12,800 miles on it and Im getting a 1093 code. the dealer said it an internal psi problem and they will have to tear into it. whats going on guy's?
this truck is my job and im just wanting to know what to expect. Its shut down on me 3 times and will start and run after setting for 5 min. or so and the ,S.E.S. light go's out it only happens when im puttin the boot to it, geting on the freeway, but the first time it did this was under full pedal. The next time was a little less pedal, and less everytime it comes back. any thoughts would be great.

Any aftermarket engine mods?

check for a blockage in the fuel filter

Check the fuel tank vents (especially the front tank). If the 1" vent hose from the tank to the filler neck is kinked, pinched or restricted the fuel system has a hard time sucking fuel and the ECM thinks the filter is restricted.

It turned out to be a dirty filter (the old style) That was some time ago since than i have 70,000 miles on the truck now and everything has been fine. but the front end is shaking and wearing the front divers side tire in a bad way! some feathering on the pass. side too.
