I have been shopping for a one ton dually chassis cab for a while now and have intensified the search with the new incentives. I suspect finding the right 05 isn't going to happen, but it has brought up bigger questions.
My work truck becomes my wifes hoss show truck on weekends and she has put her foot down that she wants a crew cab. That's fine with me. I wanted an extended cab anyway and a CC didn't seem like a bad idea.
But what's the story with GM? They don't make a crew cab/ chassis cab?The dealer suggests getting a box delete but that sounds kind of funky. The cab to axle is less than 60" so I doubt it would take a 9ft bed very well and may even mean dealing with a camel back frame
Can anyone explain to me what's going on here? I've driven GM trucks for 30 years and dread the thought of having to change to F***.
