Unless you buy the attitude controller - you have no way of switching levels. Well you can take it out and install it in a truck with the allison to switch levels. A VA box or Banks 6-Gun will allow you to switch via toggle.

01duramax6spd,

Look at my post titled "Finally Took the Plunge". I just installed a VA 0-70-110 box on my 6 speed. Let me know if you have any questions.

It will work but a lot of the functions that make it unique do not apply to a handshaker. As mentioned - its the only way to switch levels with a stick, I believe the egt back down function is still funtional but all the programming for shift defueling and slip monitoring are no longer valid for your truck. I don't know what the price differences is between a juice/*** combo and say a VA box with a set of regular gauges. If you want the edge it will work. :driver:

You could also get the Edge EZ it has a switch to change between levels.

65hp is all your clutch and DMF will handle for now.

I intend on getting a different clutch and flywheel later on when I need it.There is no reason to buy an EZ now and an Attitude later is there? The Attitude should work fine if I keep it on 1 or 2.

If you intend on the higher hp then skip the EZ because its not compatible with the Attitude - only works with the Juice.

Most of the handshakers that have used the Van Aaken will tell you that it is the smoothest thing that have used. No bouncing or jerking with it and it is capable of switching power on the fly like the Edge/***.

What does a VA cost.Does it have guages or will I have to install some?

A VA box is a little less bucks than just a regular Juice but it only has 2 settings not the 4 or 5 that the Juice has - well there are more than 2 levels but you can only get 2 in one box. I.E.

There are others too with more extreme numbers approaching or exceeding 200 hp. gauges are recommended as well they it does not come with an controller like the attitude.
