Is anyone running the "old school" 235/85/16E on their srw trucks? I'm curious to hear if anyone has any comments about handling changes from the stock 245/75.
These used to be the old standard for 3/4 ton trucks and they seemed to work fine back then. Obviously not the best flotation size but wide enough. It seems the taller height might actually increase hw mileage slightly.

I might switch if I can find some in commercial load range F or G.

235-85-16 Checking in here!
I have been running this size for quite some time. They work better for hotshot and trailering duties. They tramline less on the road, and I get more mileage out of the rubber.

I've got a set on the my 01 went from 255-85-16 to these. Can still corner at the same speeds as before. Haven't noticed any ill effects.

I was running Dunlop 235s on my 02, but didn't get anywhere near the 60,000 miles that the tire is warrantied for. About 1/2 of that. They handled well enough, but when I'd enter a turn a little too quick, it felt like the tires weren't going to stick to the road.(Actually, it was when I was running my buddy's
1500 SS.:)) They did a good job while pulling my 30.5 ft fifth wheel. I ran 80 psi.
