I've noticed some GM trucks have a Silverado emblem on the left side of the tail gate and a Chevrolet emblem on the right. Some have just the Silverado on the left side. Others have noting at all.
Does anyone know the reasoning for this? Its really not important but its just something I've been noticing and have been wondering. Is it trim levels? Where the truck was built? Year of the truck?

I think they just quit putting the "Chevrolet" emblem on the right on all of them in '05. I know it was done for '06-07 models for sure because mine doesn't have that, just Silverado on the left. Probably a budget move.

FWIW, my '05 had it. It was built 11/04.
