Please let me know if this is accurate:

2009: Has the DPF with diesel injection same as 08. Basically same chassis as 08.

2010: Has same DPF except with now with urea injection. Basically same chassis as 09

2011: Has same DPF with urea injection as 10s. New chassis.

I want to be sure that I understand since most of the 2010s made, were manufactured prior to 2010. I know the 2010 emissions kicked in January 1st, so I don't know how they treated the cut off date......was it by model year designation, or by actual model year manufacture?

No the 2010 is just DPF till the end of 2009 build. I am not sure if they are building 2010 in 2010 on the gmt-900 platform with urea. They may all be 2011.

As far as GM goes, the 2010 Silverado-Sierra product will have the DPF system only. The 2011 model will add the urea injection.

What hasn't been obvious is that the 2011 mandate applies to when the engine was manufactured, not to when the truck was assembled. The 2010 models built since January 1 are using engines built prior to January 1, 2010. 2011 orders won't be taken until May, I beleive.

The Chevy Van-Savana or G trucks will have a 2010 with DPF and a 2010 with dpf and urea injection. Orders for the new emission won't be accepted until 2/25 and the 2011 models will start production on August 24, 2010.

I bet the aftermarket is already making programmers to delete the urea injection

I say once they get hold of one if not already. Some LML have been out here and there.
