So I bought the 55watt HIDs for my low beams along with the relay, and I must say they are bright alot brighter than my 35watt HID Driving lights. One thing I think I need is projector lenses because they are throwing light high and to the sides. I have yet to adjust them, but I dont think adjusting will solve all my problems. So does anyone know where I can get some nice projector lens. Also while hooking them up I have a spare plug off the head light harness on the passenger side. On the drivers side I have the relay I only bought 1. and it takes up all of the plugs on that side. On the pass side. I have an extra plug that isnt on the relay side. The light works, but I have this extra plug what should I do about it? It is the one with the black nylon mesh covering it, and it has a blue end. Should I just tape it up and make sure water doesnt get in. None of the other posts I read about had this extra plug so Im not sure.

TIA

Jon

Is it the extension that connects to the original headlight connection? Pics would help...

No cuz the original is plugged into the socket. I should have taken pictures. O well Ill get them later. Is there a difference between 55 and 35 watt bulbs?

My plan right now is to get new 35 watt balasts. Is the bulb the same for 35 watt and 55 watt?

IIRC, bulbs are the same.

Do yours flicker when firing up? If not then I think if you go vvme then you need the relay.Just letting others in on the difference. I did not use relay and went through three sets of these in under a year.Let us know how they last when used w/relay please....I switched to the retro solutions and could tell the first time these(the retros)were for me,no relay and no flicker.I just hope they last for more than a year.Even if any HID only lasted a year I would keep buying them;thats how much better they are than stock.sorry for hijack

If it is a GMC, then yes. I am contemplating taking the plunge for some Denali headlights.

No its a Silverado. I need projectors or something that will focus the light. Because it is way to spread out.

I see some that are black and they look cool, they say that it comes with special bulbs. Does this mean it wont fit my bulbs? I dont want something where I have to modify stuff again.
